Fixin’ Supper

SLOPPY JOE SLIDERS

IMG_0191
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 8 oz Tomato Sauce
  • 1/3 Cup Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Yellow Mustard
  • ½ tsp Garlic Powder
  • King’s Hawaiian Rolls
  1. Cook ground beef seasoned with salt & pepper in a large skillet over medium high heat until browned throughout. Drain excess grease and return to skillet.
  2. Add tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestshire sauce, mustard and garlic powder and stir to combine over medium heat. Allow to simmer, stirring regularly, for 5-7 minutes to let the flavors really combine. The consistency will be like a thicker chili.
  3. Scoop onto rolls (toasted, if desired) and serve hot.

Recipe Note: If you wanted to make this a crockpot meal, you can brown and drain the ground beef (even the night before!). Then simply combine the beef and remaining ingredients and set to Warm or Low for up to 6 hours or until you’re ready to serve.
