- · 1 lb Ground Beef
- · 1 lb Ground Italian Sausage
- · 2/3 Cup Italian Breadcrumbs
- · ½ Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- · 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- · 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
- · Salt & Pepper
- · 2 Eggs
- · 1.5 Cups Marinara Sauce
- · 8 oz Mozarella Cheese block, sliced thin (or sub 1 cup shredded Mozzarella)
- · Basil
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a large loaf pan with cooking spray.
- 2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground sausage, bread crumbs, grated parmesan cheese, eggs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning and 1 cup of the marinara sauce. Mix well with hands to combine thoroughly.
- 3. Add your mixture to prepared loaf pan. Bake for 45 minutes or until internal temperature is at least 145 degrees. Remove from oven and spread remaining ½ cup of marinara sauce on the meatloaf. Top with cheese and bake an additional 10 minutes, or until internal temperature is at least 160 degrees and cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 4. Remove from oven and allow to rest for 10-15 minutes. Garnish with additional parmesan cheese and basil if desired.
