- 1 – 1.5 lbs Bone In Chicken Thighs
- 1 tbsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/2 tsp Chili Powder
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
- Salt & Pepper
- BBQ Sauce
- In a small bowl, combine the dry seasonings to make your spice rub.
- Pat chicken thighs dry with a paper towel. Salt and pepper the chicken, then pour spice rub over and press into chicken. Allow to sit for about 30 minutes for best flavor.
- Preheat the grill to 400 degrees. Place the chicken on the grill skin side down over direct heat for 4-5 minutes. Flip chicken and continue to cook, another 4-5 minutes, or until internal temperature is at least 160 degrees.
- Remove to indirect heat. Baste the BBQ sauce on both sides of each piece of chicken. Close the grill and allow sauce to cook another 2-3 minutes. Allow the chicken to rest 5 minutes before serving.
