Fixin’ Supper

TURKEY BURGERS

  • 1 lb Ground Turkey 
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 Cup Panko Bread Crumbs
  • Small bunch Fresh Parsley, chopped (~1/3 cup)
  • 2 – 3 Green onions, chopped
  • Kosher Salt & Pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder or 1-2 cloves of minced garlic
  • Crushed red pepper (Optional)
  • Avocado (for serving)
  • Sesame Seed Buns, toasted

  1. Crack egg in large bowl and scramble.  Mix all remaining ingredients except breadcrumbs and season liberally– I find that ground turkey needs more salt & pepper than regular burgers. 
  2. Add breadcrumbs and form into equal size balls, then flatten into patties. This recipe will make 4-5 good size burgers. 
  3. Pan sauté in ~1 tbsp butter on low/medium heat for about 5 – 6 minutes per side until internal temp is 165 degrees.  Only flip once if possible to lock in moisture.
